5 STEPS TO BECOMING MORE SELF CONFIDENT

“Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself makes you fearless” Lao Tzu

Confidence is built on different things, but overall it is built on choices and accomplishments that feed your passion, and that make you feel happy and proud of who you are.

One of the things that have tampered with our self confidence could be the emotional trauma we had when we were kids and as we grow up, till when we can no longer be able to deal with them. Growing up many have even lost their self esteem and don’t believe in their capability and stop them from accessing different parts of their personality and ability.

You say you want to start that  business, you want to start exercising, you want to start teaching people about what you know but never start or make any commitment to anything. It affects your will power and you see it as not save to start at all just because you lack self confidence and you have not brought yourself to the point that, you are a HOT CAKE, people want what you know; you are the solution people are looking for and you can achieve anything, no matter how big or small it may be or look.

The worst thing is that not having the confidence to do what you want to do will later lead to regret in life, so it is better to start now.

Here are 5 ways you can improve on your confidence

  1. START GETTING THINGS DONE.

Have day to day goals. It is better if it is written down. Document what you want to achieve and what you want to accomplish each day. Once you can start achieving all the small goals you set daily for yourself, you will start feeling much better about yourself, because confidence is built on accomplishment.

And once you start achieving these daily goals, you will be able to achieve your weekly goals till you become more confident about achieving greater goals you thought you could never achieve.

  1. STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

Enough of the self doubt, enough of allowing people to trample on your emotions and capability. You need to understand that no one has the power to degrade you until you give them.

When someone tells you that your goal is stupid, or that you can not do it, it is very tempting to want to believe them considering how you’ve doubted yourself in time past, and you have thoughts all over your head telling you that you can’t make it happen, let them know that you believe in your goals and you know you can make it happen.

  1. GET AN ACCOUNTABILITY COACH

Many times, what most of us need is someone who will push us to do that task, to attain that goal, someone who will motivate us and be accountable for us. When you get an accountability coach, she won’t let you rest until you achieve that goal of yours. Though most times you might have to pay to get this person to help you out, it is worth it at the later end.

  1. DON’T CARE WHAT OTHERS THINK

There are going to be so many people who will tell you you can not accomplish your goal. They might even be family members or colleagues. They tell you your goal is too big, or you can’t do it or it has never been done before.

Remember if the Wright brothers considered all what people told them about the inability of man to fly, we wouldn’t have aircraft today, so don’t allow anyone to limit you and don’t let anyone ever make you feel like you don’t deserve what you want, you deserve it my Darling.

People change the world everyday despite everything around them telling them it can’t be done.

Once you believe you can do it, you will do it.

  1. BUILD POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP

Surround yourself with positive people.

If you find certain people tend to bring you down, try to spend less time with them, or tell them how you feel about their words or actions and start to build relationships with people who are positive and who appreciate you.

SELF CONFIDENCE IS ONE OF THE KEYS TO SUCCESS, DON’T LOSE IT.
